A minimalist mini-pack made of 100% organic hemp canvas. Perfect as a purse when in town and as a small daypack when out on the trails. It fits a lunch, tablet, paperback, and a change of socks and t-shirt. The flat outer pocket on the back holds a phone and a slim wallet. Keys, water bottle, bike lock and sunglasses can be hung on the side and front carabiner loops.
This single crafted bag has straps made of veg-tan leather. The hemp canvas assembly was made with pieces from previous production runs, hand-dyed with plant and mineral dyes in the original Chemistry+Craft studio on mnidoo mnis (manitoulin island) and hand-waxed in our new Sudbury East studio.
Our canvas rucksacks are treated with northern Ontario beeswax for weatherproofing. Natural fibre and thread, designed with minimal metal (2 buckles only), minimal recycled plastic (for the shoulder strap padding) and maximal ethical and renewable resources. While we strive to make plastic-free products, we will occasionally recycle a yoga mat for padding in the shoulder straps or back.
Colour variations and light or dark spots are normal, make each bag unique, and are beautiful vestiges of the hand-made process. All plant dyes gradually fade over time with exposure to light and life. Also keep in mind that your screen may not be accurate in representing colours as shown.
